Purposes and Goals
Our purpose is to fill a need in our community by supporting academic excellence in education; motivate the students to do well, and help create a vision for a promising future. We wish to make certain that students recognize that business and professional leaders in the community value academic achievement. Create first class memories for the top students to reward their hard work and commitment, to inspire them to continue and to inspire other students to follow their lead. Help all eighth grade students to see that they can change their lives and futures, to strive for the best, for quality, for excellence. Encourage all eighth graders to challenge themselves during high school, to strive for quality education, to choose the demanding teachers, and to take the tough classes.

Increase parent support for academic excellence. Motivate those students who do not have strong family support. They are legion. Encourage talented students to think about going to university or college. Expand the vision of Rotary that encouraging our youth today toward academic achievement will open doors for them in the changing world of vocations they will face tomorrow. Help build a positive self-image and positive group image for academic achievers both within school and within the community. Kindle within the community a spirit of respect and admiration for academic achievement by personal and media presentations. Community support for, and involvement in, the program are essential for success.
