Peter Hatton in his role as Youth Exchange Officer introduced Morgane Colleau. He noted how much he had learned from her and her “Get Involved” approach to being an exchange student. She has found a way to have a good time, get her problems solved as they arose and developed as the unofficial social convener of the Exchange student group.

Morgan started by thanking the Club and her Host Families for their hospitality and for making her exchange year possible. She then continued on with a very well put together (with assistance from Nico) Power Point presentation on France, her homeland.  She touched on its geography, climate, political organization and structure, culture , transportation, food (especially bread and cheese) and educational system. She thinks that school is much easier here for the student though in France they compensate somewhat for long days and many core subjects with a lot more holiday time through the year. She also told us something of her life in France, her hope that she may still be able to travel more in Canada before her year is finished and her idea of returning to Montreal for university.
