Bohemian (Boh) aka Melvin

The family of Boh writes:

" He's a little baby and he follows me around like a dog. He sucks on my clothing and bed sheets, just like he would his mommy. I think it's something he will never grow out of. He's really lovable, fun, and very playful, gets along with all my other animals very well.

This is a photo of my Boh and my mother-in-law. It's a sweet picture. Boh is sitting on my husband's shoulderblade. It was the first day we got him."

Jody

This is Boh when he was at the shelter as Melvin with his brother Barney.
He came in with four brothers named Barney, Skippy, Sam, and Freddy.

Sir Atticus Finch aka Stripey

"Hello,

We adopted a cat from the Humane Society in June and thought we'd send in a couple of pictures for the website. His name at the shelter was Stripey but we've renamed him Sir Atticus Finch."

Thanks,
Alicia & Doug Lyons

In May 2005, this handsome adult tabby found hmself in the care of the shelter after his owner passed away. He was very shy and scared in these strange surroundings, but was very affectionate and loved to be petted.
It looks like Sir Atticus Finch has found a good comfort spot.

Sammy aka Daisy

This is an updated photo of Sammy aka Daisy at family camp. She was adopted August 4, 2005.

"My parents dog was a little put out at first but now they are fast friends. Sammy just loved the camp; she went running and swimming. She even loved the boat ride."

Following is the original story of August 21, 2005

The family of Sammy aka Daisy writes:

"We adopted Sammy (aka Daisy) on Aug 4/05. We have only had her a couple of weeks but we love having her. She is really a part of the family. Everyone who meets her falls in love with her instantly. She loves to run and play ball with my 5 year old son. She is also my constant companion. She goes with me everywhere. She is still a little shy around people but is slowly starting to be more social. She has really adjusted to her new life. And is as happy as can be."

Jennifer Conway

Sammy aka Daisy is mom to the litter of shepherd pups posted in the July 05 Gallery.

Josie / Jo (formerly known as Rosie)

The family of Josie writes:

"On Friday, September 2, 2005 our family adopted Rosie (now know as Josie/Jo). About a month ago we had to put our dog, Royal (who was also adopted from the Humane Society 12 years ago), down due to health concerns. The house seemed too empty without a dog around. We were going to wait for a while, but my father fell in love with Josie (aka Rosie), and visited her at the Humane Society a few times before deciding to take her home. She was at home for a few hours, and then my parents took her to our cottage on St. Joseph Island. She had so much fun down there. She loves to swim and play in the water. Josie fits perfectly into the our family (she even doesn't mind our two cats!). Thank you to the Humane Society for 2 wonderful dogs!

Her name is Josie, but my father calls her Jo for short."

Coco

The family of Coco writes:

"Coco has settled in very well . She took to us extremely well and loves her surroundings. We had an old couch just for her and she made it hers right away. We found that she gets along with other dogs quite well which was a plus. She listens well and loves to play. She is a great addition to our family."

Thank you

Bill & Kim Beharriell

Coco can be found in the Aug05 Gallery
for Dog Adoptions. She was adopted
August 16, 2005.
