Rocky
|
"We
adopted 4 year old Rocky from the
shelter on October 19, 2007 after the passing our beloved 16 ½
year old Tigger. Losing Tigger was very hard. We miss him very much. He
was our only pet for many years, and when he passed, our home seemed empty.
We are so happy we found Rocky.
|
|
|
We hope he is equally happy with us! He has brought the sunshine back in to our home. Rocky (we did not change his name) is doing very well; he is amazingly beautiful and affectionate, and we could not have wished for a better pet (though we prefer referring to him as our baby). Thank you for allowing us to add Rocky to our family! He is loved beyond words."

"Hello! I recently adopted Redenbacker and I thought I'd send a picture of him with his new family. In the picture from left to right Lazeras (the other cat I adopted from you), Jasper (aka Redenbacker) and Cooper. They are doing awesome together, it was a little rough the first day but that was it. Thank you so much!" -Allyson- |

PJ and Fluffy
| "Hi there! I was taking a look at the Humane Society website and stumbled across the adoption stories section. Just reading a few of the entries reminded me of when we first adopted P.J and Fluffy (formerly Julio and Tina) in May 1998. | |
|
|
We had just lost our cat, Patches about 3 weeks prior and were feeling sort of empty each time we came home and weren't greeted by any furry four legged friend. My dad never mentioned anything to us about getting a new cat so when I came home from school one day and saw him with this box, it was a bit of a shock. |
|
I looked at the box and saw this little pink nose poke
out from one of the holes .... KITTY! I quickly opened the box and not
only did I find one sweet little kitten with a rosy pink nose, but another
little fur ball with the most beautiful brown tabby markings I had seen.
They were adorable! Although they don't look like they came from the same
litter and certainly have opposite personalities, you can see their family
bond when one cat can't find the other; they cry and cry until they're
reunited. I can't imagine our house without these two. It's been 9 years
and their antics still never cease to amaze me. They join forces to pick
on the dog and play a mean game of tag with each other. |
