He was adopted in March 2006. His family wrote in:

We have three kids and a Shih Tzu, so we were not to sure as to how well our dog would get along with the new addition to the family. We were very excited to see him adjusting so well!!! Our dog and Buddy get along just fine ... in fact we think that they will be great friends!!!!!! He also, turned out to be very good with our children. We are so happy that we found him, we love him and are giving him a happy, secure, and loving home!!! Thanks!!!! "

Baby and Layna

"We adopted Baby (formerly Ellen) and Layna (Emma) Dec. 05 and they have truly become a part of our family. They have a special bond, and love to do everything together. They love to cuddle, and can't resist anything that wiggles, naturally. Baby loves to talk to us, she is a chatterbox and definitely the leader of the two. Layna is quiet but loves to cuddle. Every morning they go for a run around the house, they sound like a herd of elephants despite their small size!!! Thank you to the Humane Society staff for our two wonderful family members!!" .......... Sarah and Phill Devoe

Dymond

"These are pictures of Dymond. I adopted her last September... She is very happy and is getting bigger everyday... She likes to pose for pictures, chase her tail, playing with her toys, being silly and chasing the cursor on the computer... She gets jealous when I play the computer and tries to hide the screen... She is very happy and we are very happy to have such a nice cat... I would like to thank the staff at the Humane Society for making her adoption very easy, fast and for being so friendly."

Thank You Very Much
Paula and Dymond

Charlie

"Hi, we adopted a puppy in January and named him Charlie. He was one of three Retriever mix puppies, I think his sister and brother are on your pet adoptions for Jan 06 (Mokka and Horton). Just wanted to let you know that he is doing well, and growing well too! Charlie loves to play outside with his new family and is a quick learner. He has been so good for our kids. They argue about where Charlie will sleep, who will feed him or walk him, and who gets to sit beside him in the vehicle.

I think this was one of the best things we could of done as a family - add another member, and that is what Charlie has become. We will keep you posted on how Charlie is doing and send pictures in the near future."

UPDATE A FEW MONTHS LATER:

Photos have been added and the family reports that "He is growing fast and learning new things everyday; what a difference a dog makes!!! Thanks again."

Makita was adopted on Monday January 23. She was 5 and a half months old. She just had her first bath today, and she loved the water. Thanks for putting her picture on the website for all to see. Thanks so much."

Thumbelina and Chloe

"I adopted a beautiful black and white kitten. Her name is Thumbelina and she is the most loving kitty anyone can ask for! She is unqiue in her own way!

She has 7 toes on one paw and 6 on the other and 5 on the back paws! She loves Chole aka Onedia from the shelter (adopted May 2005). They love each other and are best buds! Thank you to the staff at the Humane Society for my wonderful cats!

PS: Thumbelina was spayed just recently!"

Binki

"We adopted Binky in Sept 2004 and he was the happiest and friendliest cat anyone could have. Everyone loved him when they came to visit us. He would act like a dog and greet every one. My baby could eat - he loved meal time. I just wanted to let you know he had a great life here and I thank you for giving him to us. On Jan 30th Binky went with the Lord in the middle of the night peacefully. He will always to remembered as the swortsakitty."

Dryfus

"Hello. Dryfus's new family would like to send everyone at the Humane Society an update on how well he is doing in his new home. He has adjusted so well in a short time. Dryfus is very affectionate and is always giving kisses, hugs and cuddles. We built him a huge playground in the backyard, a new doghouse and he jumps up and down excitedly everytime he gets visitors. He always has a big smile on his face and goes for at least three walks a day. Although he went through a lot before coming to us, he overcame his anxieties in a few days and settled in nicely. We are sure he is certain he isn't leaving and is nice and relaxed, loves to go for car rides and we all play in the front yard in the snow every night.

Our family has never met a dog that loves to bury himself in the snow as much as our Dryfus does. He is a beautiful dog with a personality all his own. His new best friend had his 11th birthday Jan.29 and it now feels like we have two kids! We included the picture where Dryfus thought the cake was for him, although he was very disappointed to learn four legged children cannot sit at the table unfortunately! Thank you for letting us adopt this amazing dog with the heart of gold that has brought many smiles and loads of laughter to our family and most of all has become a best friend to a very special little boy!"

"Margo's name was April when she was in the kennel in December 2005.

I have attached recent photographs of Margo. Her separation anxiety is reducing with time and routine. She is a very social dog, loves to meet new friends (dogs and people), and is very good with children.

We really enjoy her company and are pleased to have her in our family."

Keiko and Bebe

"Hi there, I adopted a wonderful little kitten from the shelter named Sugar Plum. I just wanted to let you know that we changed her name to Keiko (kee-ko).

Keiko is doing very well, she is very playful and likes to snuggle when all played out. She adjusted very well to her new home and to her new friend Sasha (now Bebe) that we adopted a year and a half ago from the shelter. Keiko will be getting her 2nd shot this week and will be spayed in March. Thank you for having this wonderful website and contact information to let you know how are new fuzzy family additions are doing."
Sincerely

Sammy aka Daisy and Pal Bubba

Following is an update from the family of Sammy aka Daisy and her pal Bubba.

"I am sending a pic of Sammy aka Daisy, and my parents dog Bubba. This is how she spent her first Christmas with us, lying on the couch with Bubba and playing. She was very relaxed and loved opening her own stocking and presents up. She was also spayed in October and spent a good week curled up on the couch with a bare belly. She has gained quite a bit of weight since we got her and loves getting pampered with her baths and combings."
